This notice describes how Camehere handles information for the dating beta, mutual meetup map, and legacy memory features. It should be read with the Terms of Use.

Heatwave: if you activate Heatwave, we store its start and expiration time and use your already-saved approximate location to prioritize your profile for compatible nearby members. We do not expose your exact discovery coordinates through Heatwave.

1. Information you provide

• Profile: chosen name or nickname, self-reported age, gender, who you want to meet, dating intent, bio, interests, and an optional profile photo.
• Dating activity: passes, likes, Signals, mutual matches, messages, blocks, and reports.
• Mutual pins: a place name and map coordinates proposed to a match, plus acceptance status and timestamps.
• Contact requests: information you submit through the contact form, including an optional name and reply email.
• Legacy memories: if you use the classic map, its separately described local/Puter records may include pins, counts, dates, notes, photos, and optional people counts.

2. Account identifiers and authentication

Puter manages sign-in. For authenticated actions, your Puter access token is sent over HTTPS to a Camehere server function and checked with Puter. Camehere derives a one-way hashed account identifier from the Puter account identifier and uses that hash to associate dating, match, message, pin, block, report, agreement, and legacy server records. The dating store does not intentionally store your Puter email address or the access token.

3. Location information

Location is optional. If you choose “Use my location,” the browser provides latitude and longitude to Camehere and the server stores a rounded coordinate for distance calculations. Discovery responses show another member an approximate distance in miles, not your stored discovery coordinates. Camehere does not request continuous background location or provide live-location tracking.

Mutual meetup pins are different: when you deliberately choose a map point and send a pin request, the exact selected coordinates are stored and are returned only to the matched participants through the current Service. The recipient must accept before the pin is labeled mutual.

4. Profile visibility

Your dating profile can be shown to other signed-in Camehere adults whose stated preferences are mutually compatible with yours. The visible profile can include your name, age, gender, dating intent, bio, interests, profile photo, and approximate distance when available. Your “who I want to meet” settings and stored discovery coordinates are not intentionally exposed in discovery results.

5. Messages and matches

Messages are stored on Camehere’s hosting infrastructure so matched participants can retrieve them. They are not represented as end-to-end encrypted. Both participants can read messages in a current match. Unmatching or blocking removes the active conversation from normal access in the current beta and deletes its current message objects, but provider backups, logs, screenshots, or copies retained by recipients can remain.

6. Blocking and reports

Blocking stores a relationship record so the blocked accounts are not shown to each other through normal discovery. Reporting stores the hashed reporter and reported account identifiers, a timestamp, and a basic report category. Reports may be retained longer than ordinary social data where reasonably needed for safety, abuse prevention, disputes, or legal obligations.

7. Why information is processed

Information is processed to provide profiles, preference filtering, approximate distance, likes, Signals, matches, messaging, mutual pins, blocking/reporting, agreement records, support, security, abuse prevention, debugging, and legal compliance. Where law requires a specific legal basis, the applicable basis may depend on the feature and jurisdiction and can include providing the requested service, consent where required, legitimate safety/operational interests where permitted, and legal obligations.

8. Service providers

Camehere currently relies on providers including Netlify for hosting/functions/storage, Puter for authentication and optional legacy cloud functionality, Esri for map imagery, Photon/OpenStreetMap for place search, and Google Fonts/code-delivery providers for page assets. Providers may receive technical request information such as IP address, browser data, requested URL, and timing as needed to deliver their services.

9. Photos

The beta currently uses one profile photo. The browser resizes and converts it to JPEG before upload. Resizing does not remove everything that may identify you in the image. Do not upload a photo containing information you do not want profile viewers to see.

10. Retention

Dating profiles, likes, matches, mutual pins, and blocks remain while needed to provide those features or until removed through available controls or a verified request, subject to reasonable security, backup, dispute, and legal retention. Current chat message objects are deleted when a match is removed through unmatch/block in the current beta. Reports and agreement records may be retained longer for safety, enforcement, dispute, or legal purposes.

11. Your choices

You may decline location permission, edit your profile, pass on profiles, unmatch, block, report, stop using the Service, or contact us about access, correction, deletion, export, restriction, objection, or other rights that apply under your law. A recipient can retain information you already sent, and deleting Camehere data cannot erase a screenshot or independent copy they made.

12. Adults only

Camehere is intended only for people age 18 and older. The current beta uses self-declared age rather than government-ID verification. If you believe a minor is using Camehere or information about a minor appears in the Service, report it through the contact form so it can be addressed.

13. Security and beta limitations

Camehere uses authenticated server requests and separates non-production storage from production storage, but no service can guarantee perfect security. The dating beta is under active development. Avoid placing highly sensitive information in profiles or messages and protect your Puter account and device.

14. Updates and contact

Material changes to this notice will be dated and versioned and may require renewed acknowledgment. Use the contact form for privacy questions, data requests, safety reports, or other concerns.
